What is the purpose of the extra handle on this quad cane?

The extra lower handle transforms the cane into a sit-to-stand assist tool. When you are sitting in a chair or on the toilet, you can place one hand on the chair and one hand on the lower cane handle to push yourself up securely.

How do I use the two handles together?
