Well the support arms did not snap in easily like the video! Had to manually press the gold button down for some time to get it to snap. And I did not realize it has no lid! We are told to put the lid down when flushing to prevent aerosolization throughout the bathroom. So not pleased about that. May have to figure out something for that. Do you have a solution?
Nice & sturdy raised toilet seat w/ comfortable handles. Makes any regular toilet=seat height. "A" - I'm not what you'd call elderly, but I do have terrible knees, and have been getting shots in them for year's now. Lately I've had a bad spell after moving, and thought maybe what the new house really needed was what the old house had - seat-height toilets. However, I wasn't into spending a thousand dollars to retrofit all the toilets in this house, so I thought I'd try this toilet seat first. And I'm glad I did. My husband installed it in the master bath, and the real difficulty was cutting off the old plastic bolts that held the old seat/lid on. Those need to come off before you can install this, but the bolts that come with this raised seat from Pelegon are metal. It looks great with it, and because I didn't have elongated seat here either, it fits perfectly. A great solution for those like me with bad knees who can feel like when they have to bend further down, or for the elderly who want to be secure with these handles to help them stand up again. My husband groused a little at the start, but he's got the guest bath for himself now, so we both win. My knees already feel better after 2 days, and I'm not taking pain pills for them anymore. That's a real win. So I'd call this item easy to install, sturdy, and the only minus is that it's not terribly comfortable, so probably not for you if you spend a long time on the toilet. I don't and never have, so it's perfect for me. Also looks easy to clean, being plastic, and I love the grips on the handles (which were also easy to put into the seat base) because it means no slipping on the metal handles when you get up again. WOW. Good thinking there! Love all those features and give is an easy "A". Good product. Well-shipped so that nothing breaks or cracks in transit.
Handy if you have arthritis or gout - During my last gout attack (in my left knee), I had difficulty sitting down to do my business, and getting up afterward took planning and strength. I wish I had had this then. This seat riser is just what I need. It's actually more comfortable to sit on this for a tall person like me than a normal-height seat. (For reference, I'm 6' 6" with long legs). It is easy to put together, even without instructions, although it does come with a pretty hefty instruction booklet and a helpful 1-800 number to call if you run into problems. The key is to make sure you put the left handle (labeled L) on the left and the right handle (labeled R) on the right. It's easy to get them mixed up. Each handle locks into place with 2 spring-loaded pins. If you don't want the handles there, it's easy to remove them by pressing the pins in with a screwdriver and sliding them out.Although this riser did not come with a lid, I did not expect it to. I'd rather use my own slow-close lid anyway. The steel bolts that come with this are plenty long enough to accommodate the lid of your choice. The riser comes with 2 washers - one zinc and one plastic. The zinc one goes on the top (underneath the bolt head) and the plastic one goes under your toilet bowl. If you don't have enough room for the top washer to fit into the recess where your toilet lid attaches, simply don't use the washer. I've included a pic showing this.
Sturdy, Easy To Get On And Off - The box contained 1 - PELEGON raised toilet seat with handles and instructions. I liked the 300lb capacity and it did not budge when I sat on it as there are 4 very sticky rubber grommets that grab onto the bowl and hold the seat very steady. There are two bolts to secure it also. It is solid, easy to get on and off and I was able to use my arms to help raise my medium sized male frame up using the handles. I am very satisfied with this product.
Good seat - I am giving this five stars - though I did have a couple of minor problems. The company support was good.First, the seat seems to move a tiny bit even after install, so I used two small pieces of two sided woodworkers tape on the front two rubber pieces to stabilize the seat. For most people I do not think that is a problem. I am pretty big.Second - the washer on top seems a bit too small. I would recommend getting a bigger one - IF you are going to use the seat without a standard toilet seat on top. [Not included.]I used a slow-close plastic seat on top of the raised seat. That meant that I did not need the bigger washer.Anyway - the company was nice and I now like the seat. It is sturdy, well made and works fine.Added Oct 24. I still have this and it is used regularly. The seat works still and has held up very well. I do recommend it.
Easy assembly and installation. - I got this for my friend, who was recently in a motorcycle accident. His toilet has a standard bowl, and it sits quite low, which was making it difficult to use, especially when getting up. Assembly only required clicking in the removable side handles, and installation was similar to any standard toilet seat. The added heigth and side rails with grips have really made a world of difference. Non-slip pads under the seat offer additional stability, giving this a good, solid feel, and this was an easy way to give a standard toilet a chair-heigth feel. Great for people who have mobility difficulty. He's very grateful to have this.

Wish there were bigger washers to cover the slots in the seat for sanitary I will have to take it all apart to get it clean. It would also be nice if you would use stainless steel or plastic nuts, washers and bolts so they won’t rust. My wife likes it, she can use the toilet a lot easier.
I have a problem with your delivery. We have rural delivery with the post office. So that meant that instead of delivering it to my home, I had to get in my car and go pick it up.
So in the future, if your products won’t be delivered to my home by either UPS or FedEx., I won’t be ordering anything else from you.
The seat checked all of the boxes, however, had issues with the seat loosening which made it a bit worrisome for my 86 year old mom after hip surgery. Otherwise, great product and customer service was stellar.
It was the wrong size. I’m not returning it because getting a refund from your company is very difficult. I had placed another purchase earlier in June and after three weeks, I still haven’t received a refund.
I got this for my mother, she's very unstable and was having trouble using the toilet and getting back to her feet.
This product is exactly what she needed and has been working extremely well!
And took the worry off of my mind of her falling.
Thank you very much it worked extremely well!
With only one arm and hand free, the
Elevated toilet seat is amazing. I also am in a wheelchair so it’s so much easier to get into the seat. Thank you for sending the toilet seat to me.
I have received the raised toilet seat but have not installed it because I’m unable to remove the other seat on the American Standard toilet. I have googled it and watched videos, but still have been unable to remove the seat so I can install the raised seat. My son is supposed to take a look, but he’s just too busy. No fault of yours . . . just my special toilet.
I purchased this for my 99 year old father. He is happy with it, and it gives us peace of mind knowing we are helping him to stay safe in his home. Installation was easy and straightforward. Very nice quality.
Simple install. - This was pretty easy to install. I am a little disappointed at how hard it's going to feel. I got it so I could be comfortable for my mother-in-law. But it's gonna be decent. It will help to elevate her so it won't be so hard on her hips and her knees.
