Good Solid Shower Chair - In order to assemble this correctly you really have to pay attention to the wing screw lengths. I didn’t do that the first time and had to take it completely apart. I still ended up with a couple of left over screws, but I guess that’s a good thing. Once assembled it is solid and strong, but I can’t imagine that it’s wide enough for someone really large. The included pad is nicer and heavier than most I’ve seen that come with shower chairs. Ergonomically, the arms are just right for pushing up and out of the chair.
Shipment was fast, chair is sturdier than I had expected - a really good thing. It was very easy to assemble with great instructions and safety info. They also included one extra screw for all 3 screws sizes required to put it together. This company went above and beyond.
My moms showers are safer with this chair. She has dementia from a previous stroke and the chair helps with support and balance. She likes it and it looks nice.
It was easy to put together. Even though I may not be capable, my son was able to put it together easily. It’s very sturdy and it’s adjustable. I’m pleased with the whole affair, not to mention it was a reasonably priced.

The shower chair is great - all the pieces were wrapped to prevent scratching and digging - the screws and washers were very easy to use - everything lined up perfectly - loved that each size screw (and accompanying washer) had an extra - just in case!!!! Instructions were clear and simple - I was the one who made a couple of goofs and had to redo them!!!! I fit very comfortably in the chair and I feel very secure sitting in it, when I go to sit down in it and when I hold the armrests to rise.
The Pelegon shower chair I got is great - I am so glad I found your website - I also appreciate the helpful information offered in the booklet about using the chair properly and it's maintenance as well as the video tutorial offered online.

How Smart am I? Very. I chose this chair. It's safe & cute. I'm a fall risk so my chair will help prevent a fall in the shower. A fear I have. I sent you photos and you will see the shower, which is huge, has safety grab bars throughout. My favourite feature: I'm a shortie and with careful adjusting, it fits me!
We love it. I got it for my mom and she likes it so much more than her last one. She says it is very comfortable to use and feels very sturdy. She like how short it gets since she isn't very tall. The chair never slips while she uses it. It was very easy to put together, had it set up in about 15 minutes.
Saved me from falling in the shower after surgery!. I am so thankful we found this sturdy shower chair. I have recently undergone hamstring surgery and needed a way to shower because I was not able to stand up. This chair offers not only a backrest but sturdy armrests for support when sitting or standing. I was also able to use it when getting up and down off the toilet for something to steady myself. It is so light And easy to maneuver. I would also use it to sit on while getting ready because I would constantly need to rest and sit. It is a great addition for someone who is having surgery. Very easy to put together and adjustable. It fits perfect in my shower. There is a suction mat that allows for not slipping on the seat.
Portable shower chair. The product seems to be very well made and is very simple to assemble if you follow the included instructions. The product is sturdy, durablez and does weight a lot so it can be easily moved around by almost anyone from a young child to most elderly. It also has adjustable legs to make the product fit people if different heights. It sets up simply in most any open shower but it will not work in a standard bathtub as the legs are to wide and can't be adjusted inward to make it fit. It also comes with a rubber mat to sit on while in the chair to help prevent you for slide off the chair. Overall I would definitely recommend the product to anyone who needs a place to sit for their safety to prevent a fall during their shower. It's especially helpful to the elderly population, but anyone in need will benefit from this product.
Extremely sturdy. Best assembly instructions I've seen. Very easy to follow. Chair is easy to assemble with one minor issue. The "screws" are a pain to use. There are 13 of 'em and by the time you've finished assembling the chair your gonna feel it. The "push & click" type connectors are much easier to use. The chair claims to support 450 pounds and while I'm happy to say that I don't weigh that much, it does hold my 223 pounds with no problem. While it's easy to remove the arms, due to push & click connectors, it's more difficult to remove the seat back. Would be handy if both were easily removed. Good chair but could be better with different connectors.
Sturdy and makes you feel secure. The shower chair that we had we just a stool. So having this was such an upgrade. Though in the beginning, the box is quite heavy. But when installed it's not heavy at all. I took inventory of all the parts first and then consulted the manual. And speaking of the manual, I thought it was really clear and the font size is big, which I thought would be easy to read by the elderly. I also appreciate that it came with extra bolts, and you don't need an screw drivers or tools to assemble the chair.I would say it took me less than 30 mins to assemble. The parts are either distinct and labelled that you won't have problems with the parts. As long as you pay attention to the manual, it will be easy to assemble.The shower chair itself is very sturdy. The rubber feet really secures you to the bathroom floor, no slips at all. It makes you feel safe when trying to reach for your soap or shampoo because the seat is so secure. The silicone mat for the seat is definitely helpful, you won't have to worry about slipping or sliding off the seat. Being on the seat would definitely makes you more relaxed with the arms and the back of the seat and really holds your weight.Overall, great product. It's definitely so great having it in the bathroom.
Sturdy, Functional Shower Chair. Finally, a product that has a descriptive manual with clear directions and graphic photos, making the assembly almost painless! I commend Pelegon for being a company that reduced this head scratching goal to zero! They even included one extra piece of each size wing bolts / washers, a classy addition in my opinion.Just getting home from major surgery, I was required to have a chair to sit in while showering, being extremely weak and wobbly. However this chair is anything but weak and wobbly, as it sits solid within our tub. The padded arm rests are a nice addition, and provide great support and safety while entering the exiting the shower. I don't know how long I will be using this chair as I work on recovering, but I do know that the security it has given me with movement within the shower is priceless. These features allow me to give this chair a huge thumbs up!
No tools, easy assembly. Love that this was easy to assemble. It took about 30 minutes by myself. No tools needed.The silicone cover for the seat makes cleaning and drying easy. It feels like a sturdy chair. I sit in it with my child on my lap for showers. It's comfortable and doesn't feel like it will collapse.
Pelegon Is Continuing To Build Their Name With Quality Products Like This Shower Chair!. This Pelegon Shower Chair with Padded Armrests and Backrest is a bargain at under $70 and it comes in two colors, one being a Dark Blue color which is shown on this page and the other being a Teal color which you can find a link to it from their "Pelegon Store Page". This is the 3rd Pelegon product I've had the pleasure to review, one being a Raised Toilet Seat, another being a Shower Stool and this one being a Shower Chair. I've been impressed with the quality of all of their products thus far and this one is no exception, I've found this Shower Chair, once assembled, to be a very sturdy aluminum frame with no wobble when seated which is more than likely due to the cross-bar reinforcement just below the seat. It has a maximum weight capacity of 450 lbs., it also came very securely packaged with plastic sheeting and foam padding wraps to protect the individual pieces from being dinged or scratched during shipment and one of the best parts was that it was a tool-less assembly (no tools required to assemble) and it only required a total quantity of 17 "T" shaped screws to fully assemble it in approximately 10 to 15 minutes.Its' height is adjustable by just a push of the button on each leg to raise or lower it from 17 to 21 inches to allow it to work for most individuals. The comfortable backrest pad is permanently attached and it appears to be a type of EVA closed cell foam but for the seat they've used a removable Silicone pad with pre-punched drain holes to match the ones located in its' seat. Once I placed this chair in my shower stall it wasn't about to move due to the non-slip rubber feet. Now depending on the size of your shower or tub if you find that this one with the overall armrest width being 23 inches wide may not work for your intended space you may want to take a look at their more affordable shower stool with a seat width of only 17.5 inches wide. Either way you can't go wrong with choosing a Pelegon product for you or your loved one!
Sturdy and adjustable. This shower chair seems quite well-made. It came with all the pieces and an extra screw in each size. Each piece was individually packaged and well-protected from scratches. I had trouble inserting the second set of screws until I realized I was missing getting the screw into the bottom hole. It takes a bit of time to put together but the instructions are pretty clear if you have done IKEA furniture. The finished product can be adjusted to six different heights. It should fit most average to somewhat overweight people though not someone very very large. It feels like a quality item. Now I need to get my dad to agree to use it.
Dad really likes it. There are a lot of pieces but if you have the patience and talent you will be successful. My husband was able to figure it out. I got stuck on step one. I was not able to figure out which way to hold that thing. But I am happy to report that the booklet was impressive. The high quality drawings and the proper grammar. It was very easy to follow. The actual chair components were very nice and in brand new condition. The materials were excellent quality. This is a great and high quality product.Hubby’s dad really likes it because he feels safer in the shower. He would normally have his walker in or very near the shower. But now he feels more confident because of the chair. The seat is nice and wide too. It’s seems very sturdy and the adjustable height is a plus. After seeing dad’s chair, my mother wanted one too so we ordered her one as well.
Superb shower chair; fits my shower by a hair; 17-piece 45 min assembly; 17.5" to 21" tall to seat. This shower chair is excellent and one of my favorites of the about 11+ shower chairs I put together previously. This is rated up to 450 pounds and has a wide seat, although I doubt someone of that weight would fit between the handrails if they had more fat than muscle. Since this chair is large, it just barely fits between the glass doors of my shower.There are 17 pieces that have to be assembled (not counting the bolts and Allen wrench). It took me about 45 minutes to assemble because the bars that hold the seat were difficult for me to feed into the holes.The finished seat is super sturdy with no wobble. There are five height positions on this chair. I have it at the highest extension in my photo in the shower, which I measured to be 21" from the base of the leg to the top of the seat. I love my shower chairs to be high and this height is sufficient for me.With double shower doors, this chair just barely has enough room to pass through into the shower. Nevertheless, it fits perfectly in my shower and works as designed. The rubberized feet grip the bottom of the shower for a secure grip. The chair is lightweight and easy to carry around. I find the chair to be very comfortable. What I really love is that the silicone seat pad is removable for cleaning. I also love that the seat back has a permanent silicone piece as well.In summary, assembly is a cinch as long as one follows the instructions and starts the install at table height. Although this chair is adjustable for various height requirements, I love it at the highest setting. The current price of $62.97 ($69.97 minus 10%) is excellent for this.
The kit was complete and was a little challenging to put together, but we got it built and it's rock solid. I didn't see any instructions for attaching the gray rubber mat to the top surface of the seat, so we are using the seat without the mat.
